She's reported live from the White House, Pentagon, State Department, travelled with US Secretary of State on Air Force 2, and even covered the Oscars live from the red carpet
This is her third stint in Washington, having previously covered the 2008 election of Barack Obama.
Before this posting she served as Mumbai correspondent for the BBC, covering the changing dynamic of India.
She has also been a Westminster correspondent for the BBC, where she has interviewed the current, and former Prime Ministers.
